The Carrier Dispute Specialist is responsible for tracking all carrier disputes; researching, validating, tracking and creating a written summary of recommendation for resolution of the dispute. The Specialist will need to access databases, share drives and archived data for research, to validate and then consolidate findings together and summarize work.  Excellent communication skills are a must, as this position works closely with internal and external customers in an accurate and professional fashion to work toward dispute resolution.


  • Monitoring and collection of customer receivables across the company using multiple platforms
  • Provides back up to customer support with incoming ACD calls from all markets for Enterprise, Small Business,  Residential and Carrier Primary responsibilities include receiving customer calls pertaining to balance due on accounts, resolving the calls by accepting customer payments and providing payment arrangements with customers as needed
  • Offers support for other billing inquiries/discrepancies directly or by ensuring the issue is effectively handed off to the proper team
  • Process audits to assure data integrity in systems, quality standards, accurate billing to customers, and revenue assurance for the company
  • Maintaining methods and procedures, to ensure they are up to date
  • Assist team members and management with projects as necessary
  • Performs checklist driven validation of data captured within sales system, ensuring the data reflects signed customer contracts prior to them being accepted into the order/provisioning systems
  • Also ensures data from ordering systems is accurate prior to the data being finalized for billing
  • Works with other teams to resolve discrepancies found during the validation procedures
  • Under management guidance, will be responsible for tracking and monitoring the validation performed for regular reporting of transaction volumes and errors identified, to ensure quality standards are met
  • Process audits to assure data integrity in systems, quality standards, accurate billing to customers, and revenue assurance for the company


  • Familiarity with telecom is beneficial but not required
  • Experience with lengthy sales to billing processes is beneficial
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with internal customers
  • Knowledge/experience with the following systems is beneficial but not required: Dynamics, Metasolv (Oracle), Wizard, ICMS, WFM, CRM
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, required
  • Candidate must be willing to work additional hours when necessary to timely complete customer transactions
  • Candidate must be flexible to work early and/or late. This is required to meet deadlines or complete cycle related work and required weekend/and or holiday work.  Hours are subject to change as requirements change
