MOUNTAIN, LTD. is seeking multiple remote HFC Design Engineers for a rapidly expanding project for a national client. This HFC Design Engineer will work alongside & collaborate with a team of 50+ HFC Design Engineers.


Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Experience with OSP Design, specifically looking for experience with HFC Architecture and Design requirements relating to HFC Architecture and PON
  • Must have a solid understanding of drafting and design standards for HFC/CATV networks
  • Strong history of data transport technologies for HFC architecture
  • Must have Spatial/GIS capabilities in applications like MapInfo, ArcGIS, ESRI and Google Earth
  • Experience with Bentley MicroStation V8I COMMS based design software programs preferred
  • Strong background of CWDM/ DWDM wavelength configuration and management, node segmentation, fiber deep and RFoG fiber networks including sheath capacity, and splice enclosure documentation in a fiber management system, such as Bentley or other communication system fiber management systems
  • Experience in OSP construction, fiber construction, copper construction, and utility construction
  • Adhere to appropriate quality standards set out in the design requirements
  • May advise, train, and guide other designers
  • Monitor and track each project’s progress to ensure timely completion
  • Attention to detail and the ability to think creatively/ strategically is a must
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Must be able to work independently and without supervision
  • Analyze current processes and identify efficiencies
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects at once
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
