The Permitting Coordinator processes permit applications for construction projects in the telecommunications space. They review the applications to ensure the plans meet all code regulations before submitting the permit application. Must have a broad understanding of local/state codes to ensure prints and application are acceptable. The Permitting Specialist must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in order to ensure accuracy to avoid delays.
The Permitting Coordinator should build strong relationships with municipalities and utilities companies to formulate a partnership for efficiency for all parties involved.
Additional duties may include:
- Tracking and following up on submitted permits.
- ROW and/or Traffic Control Plan coordination.
- Processing payments.
- Attending local meetings (or remote).
- Maintain inventory of all specialized permits.
- Field calls/emails pertinent to ongoing projects and applications.
