Overview:
MOUNTAIN, LTD. is searching for a long-term OSP Project Manager to manage multiple dark fiber projects to completion. The dark fiber projects will span multiple states including but not limited to: Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan. The remote OSP Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating & collaborating with multiple departments including both the engineering and construction departments to ensure projects are completed in accordance with each of their respective timelines. This position plays a key role in tracking, managing, reporting, and completing several projects across multiple states simultaneously.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate the workflow between the Engineering and Construction Teams to drive efficiency
- Lead multiple complex projects with successful results in several states
- Forecast and troubleshoot potential project bottlenecks to ensure projects are completed in accordance with each of their timelines
- Monitor the quality of the work being completed
- Influence and collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects to completion ensuring project timelines are met
- Thorough understanding of OSP engineering & construction practices
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to establish and build strong relationships
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change
- Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
Education & Experience:
- Previous telecommunication industry experience 3-5+ years
- Previous experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience and education
- Working in a previous remote position preferred
