Project Highlight – MOUNTAIN Adopts New Technology to Improve Engineering Work
Whenever we can, MOUNTAIN tries to implement new technology to assist in creating efficient, productive, and innovative processes in the engineering timeline. We proved this earlier in the year when we evaluated new equipment that would help with surveying utility holes.
Recently, we’ve been able to add a new piece of equipment to our catalog of engineering solutions. Last week, we sent out some TruPulse200X Laser Rangefinder units (from Laser Technology, Inc.) to Seattle to assist with a client build, which will be a large project we take on in 2020. We are excited to test these out given the feature list: “highest distance and inclination accuracy, adjustment in varying lighting situations, and the ability to withstand harsh weather conditions.” These units will assist our team by providing improved data precision when completing work in the field. The units are mobile-friendly, which allows us to transmit data to our back office in real-time, helping the projecting timeline.
