Employee Spotlight – Glenn Zeman

Glenn is a Senior Project Manager who joined MOUNTAIN, LTD. a year-and-a-half ago. As a project manager, Glenn stays very involved in the life cycle of the project – regularly communicating with his support team, utility companies, and client & vendor partners. Glenn’s leadership style is described as “inclusive”; he knows the effort that goes into assignments and appreciates the contributions of his team members.

Glenn has a diverse work history, having worked for both large telecommunications service providers and smaller vendor companies. At one point, Glenn even worked for himself – owning and operating a retail store! Glenn has been able to leverage his past experiences to take ownership of his current role, delivering superior service on-time or ahead of schedule to our clients.

Don Henry, our VP of Engineering (East Region), has known Glenn since 2013. When asked to speak to Glenn’s time at MOUNTAIN, LTD., here’s what Don had to say:

Glenn has helped contribute to MOUNTAIN’s success by delivering outstanding results through his knowledge of our industry, his dedication and commitment to the job and his leadership of his team. He is a wonderful human being as well as a direct report.  I am honored to know him and to work with him.

Glenn’s contributions have garnered high praise from MOUNTAIN employees, as well as our Client and Vendor partners. We are proud to call him a MOUNTAINEER!

Q & A:

What is one of your greatest professional accomplishments?

– I had to relocate due to my wife being transferred I left a position I truly enjoyed (much like this one). Six months after I left, they asked me to attend a company event, at that event I received the yearly award for “Outstanding Service and Spirit”.  To bring back an ex-employee and honor them speaks not only to the impact they felt I made while with them, but the feeling this company has towards their associates.

What do you like to do outside of work?

– I like to play golf and cook. I find enjoyment in concerts and the local comedy club. I look forward to day trips with my wife and Eclipse, our Black Lab.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself:

– I had a store in Cooperstown, New York, and at one time I had contracts with 23 Hall of Famer baseball players to do autograph signings at my store.

Lightning Round! What is your Favorite:

  • Movie: The Blues Brothers (my watch is in the movie!)
  • TV Show: All the “Chicago” shows.
  • Song: It’s My Life – Bon Jovi
  • Food: By my picture you can tell I am not picky…but I love smoking a brisket.
  • Quote: This was drilled in me by my mentor, “Hope is not a strategy” – James Cameron

Thank you Glenn, for all you do.
